Temagami is a state-of-the-art outdoor knife and the first full tang knife made by Helle, combining the knowledge of knife use by a true outdoorsman and the history and craftmanship of the Helle design team.
The Temagami comes with a half-full tang construction, where the blade is visible along the spine of the handle but not towards the fingers. This makes the knife better to use in the cold climates in the far north. It also gives the knife extra strength, thanks to the thickness of the tang.
The curly birch handle is hand sanded to a satin finish and has a shape made to be used for long and hard work. The full tang blade is kept in place by two thick brass rivets and a pipe rivet.
Sharpened with a classic true scandigrind edge. Razor sharp straight out of the box. Especially noteworthy about this version is also the 90 degree sharp spine that has been added. This feature can be used for many tasks – for example using it with a ferro rod to start a fire.
The knife comes with a classic leather sheath for belt carry.

The Temagami represents the starting point in the collaboration with Les Stroud (AKA Survivorman). A collaboration that has developed through the years and become a close friendship, much thanks to our shared love for nature and the life outdoors.
The design takes inspiration from the classic Helle designs and moves it forward to a new era in the Helle design philosophy, incorporating the full tang construction in the production line.
During the 10 year long collaboration, the team at Helle together with Les Stroud completed two other knife projects: The Mândra and the Wabakimi.
