Les Stroud’s SURVIVORMAN machete has undergone over two years of prototyping and testing to make sure it was worthy of wearing the SURVIVORMAN label and after all of that testing we have a tool that anyone would be proud to use! This 3/32″ 1075 high carbon steel professional grade tool is dual convex ground with a higher slicing convex near the handle that fades into a more robust chopping convex at the belly thru the tip. The high carbon steel is protected by our food safe two stage patina. The machete measures 19 1/4″ overall with a 12 7/8″ sharpened edge. The natural canvas micarta is both chemically and mechanically attached to the knife with marine grade epoxy and stainless screws and brass nuts. We included a forward lanyard hole for additional safety when chopping and the contoured handle fits comfortably in the hand. All of this comes wrapped in a gorgeous JRE Industries ambidextrous sheath with a removable belt loop and multiple lashing points
